Coach Lester Jackson, age 68, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, August 25, 2020, in Floresville, Texas. Lester was born October 13, 1951 in Wilmar, Arkansas to James and Hester Jackson.
He faithfully attended First Baptist Church, Stockdale, Texas. He honorably served in the United States Army, before completing several degrees and beginning a career in education. Known as simply "Coach" to so many, he led both the Cross-Country and Tennis teams of Stockdale ISD to unprecedented success for 37 years. Other than his family, his biggest accomplishment, however, is the impact he has had on the lives of countless students who were forever made better for having known him.
Lester was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Madeline Jackson; and brother, James Jackson.
He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Ginger Jackson; son Jordan Jackson; brothers, Curley Jackson and wife Glenda, and J.T. Jackson; sisters, Jesse Harris and Patricia Douglas; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving family and many friends.
