She attended Mount St. Scholastica Academy and Benedictine College in Atchison. She loved the Atchinson community and was active in the arts and many other community and church programs. She spent many years working at the City National Bank, and as Executive Secretary to William H. Muchnic, President of LFM Manufacturing Company in Atchinson.
Wini married Thomas Fangman on April 13, 1971 and moved to St. Clair, Michigan, where she taught adult education in the East china School District and was a licensed real estate agent retiring form Sine GMAC Real Estate.
She and Tom were active members at St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Clair. She was an Eucharistic minister and taught religious education classes. She was one of the founders of the St. Clair art Association, a member of the First Friday club, St. Clair Study Club and St. Clair Garden Club. An avid golfer she also enjoyed oil and watercolor painting.
She is survived by her sister Kathleen Duffy of Barrington IL and 26 loving nieces and nephews.
Wini was preceded in death by her husband Tom, her parents and her bothers James, Clarence and Raymond Compton and her nephew Jimmy Lee Compton.
