Doris Colin Spivey, age 76, of Dayton, OH passed away peacefully at home on October 8, 2019. Doris was born on April 10, 1943 in Laurel County, KY. She was the only living daughter of Lester and Della (Jones) Moore.

Doris spent her life as a homemaker and caring for her family. In her earlier years, Doris enjoyed crocheting and would share her creations with her family and friends. She also enjoyed reading books, especially Dean Koontz novels. Doris adored her 3 pet dachshunds that provided her great company and companionship during the past few years. Doris' greatest joy and love was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Doris is survived by her son, Lee Spivey of Centerville; daughter, Lynn Love of Dayton; grandsons, David (Crystal) Lee Spivey, Scott (Melissa Monnin) Jones, Brian Williams, Jr. and Brandon (Shelby) Dawson; granddaughter, Randi Jones; great-granddaughters, Kaitlynne Reineke, Hailey Spivey, Savannah Hill, Nevaeh Hill, Colleen Spivey, Kaylynn Jones and Aubree Dawson; great-grandsons, C.J. Hassink, Tyler Hassink, Eli Jones, Scott Jones, Jr., Donavan Jones, Sean Dawson and Avery Dawson.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents Lester Moore and Della Jones, brothers James (Esther) Moore, Orlin (June)Moore, Lester Wayne, Chester (Shirley)Moore, Neil (Betty)Moore, 2 sisters and a brother who died at birth, William Caperton, Leone Jenette, Robina Vertagene, her husband, Marvin L. Spivey; and her daughter, Maria Spivey.
