James Edward Holder, 47, of Marshall, passed away Monday, August 24, 2020. He was a lifelong resident of Madison County. James is the son of Carol Marler, the late, Booth & Betty Marler, Beulah and Earlon Payne, and father, Bobby Holder.

He is survived by his wife, Crystal Gunter Holder; daughter, Sarah Holder; sisters, Suzanne Holder and Carolynn Payne; special brother, Scotty Morris; mother and father-in-law, Jeralene and Clarence Gunter; special sister-in-law, Kelly Hunter (Jonathan); nephews, Matthew and Caleb Hunter; special aunts, Genell, Pat, and Ann; special friends, Will Davis, Andy Owenby, Jason Penland, Brandon Fore, Charley Brophey, Bill Clark; and several aunt, uncles, cousins, and many other dear friends.

A memorial service will be held at 1pm Saturday, August 29, 2020, at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Reverends Ralph Shelton and Kenneth Pack will officiate.
