On November 24, 1948, Virginia was united in marriage to Aubrey Guy Cook in Harrison, AR. To their union was born three children: Michael, Sheila, and Pamela.
Virginia was a homemaker, but worked for Micro Data and Santa Ana Public Schools in Santa Ana, CA, and for Zenith Corporation in Springfield, MO. She enjoyed traveling with her family and watching all kinds of televised sports, including football, baseball, basketball, bowling, golf, and tennis. She also loved working crossword puzzles.
Virginia passed from this life into the arms of Jesus on August 21, 2020, at the age of 89 years, 4 months, and 19 days. She was preceded in death by her husband Aubrey on June 24, 2009. She also was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Irene Young; 3 brothers, Don, Charles, and John Young. She is survived by her 3 children, Michael (Cindy); Sheila (Kenneth) Luttrell; and Pamela (Dr. Bob Lilly); 9 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. Virginia is also survived by a half-sister Charlene Pentecost Troger, and a half-brother Keith Young.
Virginia was laid to rest in the Clear Creek Cemetery, Springfield, MO on Thursday, August 27, 2020.
