Vivian K. Nauslar DeCabooter departed this life suddenly on September 5, 2007. A Phoenix resident since 1965, "Vee" was the second of five children born to Raymond and Agnes Convey Nauslar. She was born on March 5, 1919 in Omaha, NE, attended South High School and married the love of her live, Arthur J. DeCabooter on April 18, 1936 in Holy Ghost Church. She was a caring, loving and supportive woman to many in her life. She is survived by four of her five children: Catherine (Gary) Metzger of Wichita, KS; Arthur (Mary) W. DeCabooter of Scottsdale, AZ; Robert J. DeCabooter of Phoenix, AZ; R.J. (Lyn) DeCabooter of Scottsdale, AZ; grandchildren: Gregg (Becky) Thompson; Cheryl (Bill) Stockwell; Melinda Metzger of Wichita; Darcy Metzger of Oklahoma; Kristen (Troy) Foster of Phoenix; Laura (Todd) Johansen of Santa Fe, NM; David DeCabooter of Scottsdale; as well as eight great grandchildren: Abbie, Amber, Samantha, Karly, Kelsy, Luke, Lily and Henry. She is also survived by her brother, Raymond (Jo) Nauslar of Lincoln, NE; her sister, Darlene of Omaha, NE; brother-in-law, Maurice J. (Darlene) DeCabooter of Scottsdale, AZ, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her spouse, her daughter, Susan Lynn DeCabooter, her sister, Eva Thell and brother, James Nauslar. Services will be held at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary at 7924 N. 59th Avenue, Glendale, AZ on Sunday, September 9th at noon. Interment will be private on Monday morning at Holy Cross Cemetery at 99th and Thomas Avenue. Donations may be made to Hospice Family Care, 9045 W. Athens St., Bldg. 1, Peoria, AZ 85382 or to the DeCabooter Memorial Scholarship Fund at Scottsdale Community College, 9000 E. Chaparral Rd., Scottsdale, AZ 85256.
