Steven Gray generously donated his body to the University of Iowa College of Medicine for research and education. Once a year the cremains of those who have donated their bodies are buried together in a common grave. Steven Gray's cremains were buried on September 27, 2019. There is no individual grave marker.

At his request his body was donated to the University Of Iowa Department of Anatomy. There will be no services at this time.

Surviving is his mother Lorraine (Cooky) Gray, Anamosa, his children, Christopher, Aaron and Mikalia, and grandchildren, his sisters, Mary (James) Russell, Cedar Rapids, Vivian Norton, Anamosa and many nieces and nephews.

Steven was born December 8, 1948 to David and Lorraine Cruikshank, Gray. He graduated from the Anamosa Community Schools.

David worked as a finance officer at Schoon Chevrolet, McGrath Chevrolet and Zimmerman Ford. He had also been employed at the Duane Arnold Nucular Plant as a security officer.

Goettsch Funeral Home was entrusted with Stevens care.
