Emma G. Williams was the daughter of Charles Williams and his wife, Martha A. She was married to Benjamin Lafayette Etheridge on August 8, 1907.

Princess Anne County, Virginia marriage records show the following -
"August 8, 1907 - Benjamin L. Etheridge, single, and Emma G. Grimstead, widowed - Benjamin L. Etheridge, age 25, born in Currituck County, North Carolina and residing in Princess Anne County, Virginia, occupation Farmer, son of Jerome B. Etheridge and his wife, Annie - Emma G. Grimstead, age 35, born in and residing in Princess Anne County, Virginia, daughter of Charles Williams"
