Wedowee - Funeral services for Deacon Fred Lane, age 90, will be 1 p.m. Friday, June 7, 2013, at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Wedowee, with the Rev.
William Dillard officiating. Burial will follow in the Antioch Baptist Cemetery of Wedowee. Viewing will be held today from 1-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Goodson Funeral Home Roanoke Chapel Directing. He leaves to cherish his memories his devoted wife of 60 years Mrs. Erma Davenport Lane, of Wedowee; children, Portia O. Lane, of Opelika, Constance A. (Jesse) Baldwin, of Montgomery, Erick M. (Latoya) Lane, of Manassas, Va.; grandchildren, Christopher B. (Temetka) Jairrels, of Atlanta, Ga., Jamare S. Lane, of Atlanta, Ga., Xavier D. Lane, of Manassas, Va., Xiomara M. Lane of Manassas, Va.; great-grandchildren, Breanna S. Jairrels, of Atlanta, Ga.; sister, Naomi Moore, of Anniston; brothers-in-law, Jimmy (Karen) Davenport, of
Decatur, Ga., Thomas L. Davenport, of Decatur, Ga.; sisters-in-law, Johnnie Mae (John) Williams, of Wedowee, Gracie Lane, of Fayetteville, Ga., Willie Mae Davenport, of Newnan, Ga.; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives
and friends. He was preceded in death by parents, Jeff and Annie Lane; daughter, Sherry D. Lane.
