Venus Bias Emmons, born July 24, 1930 to James Mack Bias and Savanah Craine Bias, passed away on August 22, 2020 in Columbus, Texas. She was born into a family of 6 brothers and 3 sisters in Iseletta - on the outskirts of El Paso, Texas. She met and married G.W. Emmons on January 24, 1948. They traveled around a lot due to G.W.'s work in the oil field. They had two children - Brenda and Darrell, and settled in Columbus, Texas in 1970.

Venus belonged to the Colorado Co. Ambulance Corp for 10 years. She also served as a nurse's aide at Columbus Community Hospital for 10 years until she retired in 1982. She spent time working in her yard, going to auctions with G.W., and she loved the beach and looking for shells. The love of her life passed away on June 24, 2011 and she went to live with her daughter in Frelsburg until she went into TLC Nursing Home 8 years later. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and spending time with them. She will be missed by many.
