Joyce Ann (Stephens) Burk, daughter of Curtis and Emma (Bowling) Stephens, was born December 4, 1944 in Stone County, and departed on August 22, 2020, at the age of 75 years, 8 months and 18 days. She was a lifelong resident of the Galena area.

Joyce married James (Jim) Burk on February 22, 2964, and raised two sons. Joyce worked at Galena-Abesville elementary school as a cook for many years; she was also a homemaker and worked on the farm. Joyce was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed reading, going to yard sales with her friends, and going to her grandchildren's ballgames. She attended church at Spokane First Baptist Church.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents Curtis and Emma Stephens; and her loving husband Jim Burk.

Joyce is survived by her sons, James Burk and significant other DeeDee Ulrich and Jason Burk and wife, Anita; grandchildren, Justin Burk and wife Charlie, Jamie Burk and significant other Kyle Todd, Brookelynn Burk and fince', CJ Fernelius, and Lukas Burk; greatgranddaugher Clara Lynn Burk; and expecting great-granddaughter Kennedy Faye Todd; brother-in-law Jerry Burk and wife Charlotte; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services were held at Westrip Funeral Home in Crane on Wednesday, August 26, 2020. Burial was in Crane Community Cemetery, Crane, MO
