Born on August 19, 1939 in Speedwell, TN he was the son to the late Joseph and Minnie Moyer Carr. His mother passed when he was young and his dad remarried to the late Martha Archer who helped raised him. Jerry retired from Great Lakes Carbon Corp. in Niagara Falls, NY. He was an avid outdoors man and loved spending time with his family. In addition to his parents and stepmother he is preceded in death by numerous siblings.
Left to cherish his loving memory is his wife of 57 years, Elaine Bauer Carr; sons, Michael Carr, David Carr, William (James Ward) Carr and Christopher Carr; grandchildren, Vincent (Jennifer), Angelina, David (Sarah), Zachary, Thomas, Christopher (Meghan), Nicholas, Janaya and Benjamin Carr; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Timothy (Barbara) Carr and many other loving family members.
Friends may call Thursday, August 16th from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at ZAJAC FUNERAL HOME INC., 319 24th Street, cor of Welch Ave, Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will begin at 8 PM. Burial in Mount View Cemetery, Sanborn, NY will take place at the convenience of the family. Donations in his memory may be made to Charity of one's choice.
