Mrs. Janice Davis Jordan, age 72, of Macclenny, Florida died Friday, Aug. 21 in the Ascension St. Vincent’s Clay County Hospital, Middleburg, Florida following a short illness. Mrs. Jordan was born in Taylor, Florida and lived in Macclenny, Florida most of her life. She worked in the medical profession for over 45 years, first with the Baker County Health Department as a nursing practitioner in OBGYN and recently as mental behavior specialist with Northeast Florida State Hospital, Macclenny, Florida. She was a member of the Manntown Congregational Holiness Church, Glen St. Mary, Florida. She loved painting, playing golf, interior decorating and traveling. She was preceded in death by her parents, Josie L. and Mary M. Crews Davis, Sr. She is survived by her husband, Donald Ray Jordan of Macclenny, Florida: her daughter, Courtney (Michael) Fiser of Macclenny, Florida: four sisters, Marilyn Brown of Indiana, Eteyle Charron and Cherry (Ed) Barber both of Macclenny, Florida and Clarice (Johnny) Tillman of Glen St. Mary, Florida: five brothers, Jimmy (Nina) Davis, Josie (Pam) Davis and Larry (Sharon) Davis all of Glen St. Mary, Florida, Morris (Jo) Davis and Richard (Sylvia) Davis both of Live Oak, Florida: two grandchildren, Lauren Ashley Fiser and Royce Michael Rhoden also survive. A graveside funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Jordan will be held at 11 A.M. Thursday, Aug. 27, in the Manntown Cemetery, Glen St. Mary, Florida with Rev. David Thomas, Pastor of the Christian Fellowship Temple, officiating. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 9:45 to 10:30 A.M. Thursday before the services at GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, U.S. 90 East, Macclenny, Florida.
