Mr. Duane L. Waters, 70, died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2004 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He was a native of Jax., a graduate of Andrew Jackson and a Veteran of the U.S. Army. Mr. Waters had resided in Tenn. since 1997 and was a member of Living Covenant Church. He enjoyed woodworking and playing the guitar. Mr. Waters retired in 1986 as Captain from Station # 34 with the Jax. Fire & Rescue Dept. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mrs. Ineta Waters on Sept. 25, 2004 and is survived by 3 children: Michael (Marilyn) Waters, Alan (Clarissa) Waters and Amy (Matthew) Nelson, and their mother: Karen Rios; 1 sister: Mrs. Uverla (Will) Allen; 1 brother: Mr. Lloyd (Sharron) Waters, Sr.; 4 grandchildren: Justin, Heather, Jasmine & Gracie and several nieces & nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, Dec. 30, 2004 from the North Jacksonville Chapel of PEEPLES FAMILY FUNERAL HOMES, 2220 Soutel Dr. near Lem Turner Road, with Rev. Mike Lindon, Pastor of Living Covenant Ch urch, officiating & J.F.R.D. Honor Guard. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park. Please Sign the Guestbook @ Jacksonville.com
