Linda S. Hudson, 71, a longtime resident of the Hillsboro community, died Saturday evening, June 6, 2020 at her home.

Private Cremation Rites were held at the Hoyt Crematory in Forest Grove.

LINDA SUSAN HUDSON was born November 3, 1948 in Portland, Oregon, the daughter of the late Donald LeRoy Vail and Emma Gwendolyn Jane (Tambling) Vail. She was raised and received her education in Portland, having attended Llewellyn Elementary School and Cleveland High School, having been a graduate of the Class of 1966.

She was united in marriage to Howard Hudson on May 16, 1970 in the Colonial Heights Presbyterian Church in Portland. They celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary this past month. Following their marriage, they made their home in the communities of Tigard and Beaverton, until 1977 when they moved to the Hillsboro community, where they have resided since.

Linda was a homemaker and aerobics instructor.

She was an active member of the Cedar Mill Bible Church, where she served as an aerobics teacher for several years.

Among her special interests, Linda enjoyed exercising, aerobics, line dancing, letterboxing, water skiing, and camping. She and Howard have enjoyed the past 10 years wintering in Mesa, Arizona.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Emma Vail and her brother, Ronald Vail.

Survivors include her husband, Howard Hudson, of the family home in Hillsboro, Oregon; her two sons and a daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Barbara Hudson, of Aloha, Oregon and Mark Hudson, of Portland, Oregon; her brother, Thomas Vail, of New York City, New York and her two sisters and a brother-in-law, Virginia Vail, of Milwaukie Oregon and Marilee and John Wetten, of Milwaukie, Oregon.

Also surviving are her three grandchildren, Kaiden Hudson, Hailey Hudson and Makayla Hudson, all of Aloha, Oregon and her nieces and nephews, Michelle and Doug Ackerman, of Lake Oswego, Oregon; Sue and Darin Hirte, of Tigard, Oregon and twins, Scott Vail and Steve Vail, both of Northern California.

The family suggests that remembrances may be contributions to the American Cancer Society, Oregon Chapter, or to the Cedar Mill Bible Church, in her memory.

Fuiten, Rose & Hoyt Funeral Home in Forest Grove is entrusted with the arrangements.
