On June 10, 1972, he married the love of his life, Carolyn (Harman) Beigh, who survives. Royce and Carolyn have 2 sons, Jeremy (Angie) and Justin (Sarah) Beigh. They also have seven loving grandchildren, Kalya Beigh, Savannah Beigh, Jerry Daniel Everest, Brandon James Everest, Emma Wilson, Brock Wilson, and Eli Wilson. Royce is also survived by his sister-in-law Charlotte (Harman) Siegfried, his nephew Paul Siegfried, and his niece Amanda Siegfried.
Royce worked at Dekko in both Claypool and North Webster Indiana. He also enjoyed woodworking and made handcrafted kitchen wares. He loved re-enacting and living history and traveled across the country to share his love and joy in educating others. He also had a great love for cars and even enjoyed racing in his younger days. Royce also took great joy in finding and collecting rare and old beer labels.
Royce will always be remembered as “Our Beloved Spoonman,” and our days will be dimmer without his smile and his love.
A public visitation will be held for a time of sharing from 12:15 – 2:00 PM on Monday, August 24, 2020 at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw with the funeral service following immediately at 2:00 PM at the Funeral Chapel.
