Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock at Huff Funeral Home for Fred Berger, 73 years old, who died Saturday noon in the Schutz Rest Home after an illness of several months.

Rev John M Michael officiated in the services and burial was in the Bremen cemetery.

Mr Berger was born in Sylvan Grove, Kansas, December 27, 1887, the son of Peter and Catherine (Carbiener) Berger.

He was a retired lumber salesman and came to Bremen from Grand Rapids, Michigan, in 1941.

He was a veteran of World War I.

Surviving relatives are an adopted daughter, Mrs Stuart Paddock, Jr, of Mount Prospect, Illinois, and two sisters, Mrs Noble Nusbaum and Mrs W L Dietrich of Bremen.
