Graveside services was held 11 AM, Monday, August 24, 2020, at Prospect Cemetery in Ben Hill County, with the Rev. Den Weniger officiating.
Mrs. Rogers was born September 6, 1926, in Wilcox County, Georgia, to the late William T. & Bertha Elizabeth Stalls Brown. She worked at the Fitzgerald Cotton Mill and also worked as a seamstress for the Monarch Company and Y&W Sportswear. She lived in the community all of her life and was of the Christian faith.
She is survived by her son, Curtis F. “Joe” Rogers, Jr. & Virginia of Fitzgerald; her daughter, Elizabeth & Harold Wallace of Manchester; grandchildren: Joey Rogers, Paula & Danny McPhaul, DeAnnia & Jon Clements, Heather & Stan Walker, Sheri & Blake Brown, Dawn Howard, Harold Glynn & Rue Wallace, and Priscilla Ann & Hugo Stroud; 15 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. The family wishes to gratefully acknowledge the loving and attentive care given to Mrs. Rogers by her caregiver, Cathy Bagley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Frank Rogers, Sr.; four brothers; and four sisters.
