He was born March 8, 1930 in Rowan County to the late Claudia Estelle Heagler Graham and Arthur Cowan Graham.
Leonard was educated in Cleveland Schools and served in the Army in Korea. He retired from Grinell Fire Protection, and enjoyed farming. He was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Nita Graham, whom he married May 1, 1953; a daughter Pamela Graham McDaniel (Dale) of Cleveland; two sons Larry Graham (Tammy) of Cleveland, Eddie Graham (Angie) of Mt. Ulla; one brother Paul Graham (Gerald) of Cleveland; one sister Ruby Coushell of Charlotte; four grandchildren, Jessica Graham, Amanda McDaniel, Jared McDaniel, Megan Graham,; two great-grandchildren Jarred McDaniel, and Carmen McDaniel.
Visitation and Services: Memorial service will be held at the home of Nita Monday at 3:30 p.m. on Monday, March 26, 2012 with the Rev. Mary Louise Sitton officiating. Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, March 25, 2012 at Summersett Funeral Home.
Memorials: Memorials may be made to St. Luke's Lutheran Church Building Fund, 11020 NC Hwy 801, Mt. Ulla, NC 28125.
