Thomas William “Toby” May, Jr., 48, of Haywood, passed away on Friday, August 21, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born April 29, 1972 in Wheeling, a son of Sandra May Hardman and husband, Norman and Thomas William May Sr. and wife, Judy.
He is also survived by his grandmother, Betty Yoho; his brothers, Andrew May and his wife, Lauren, Jay Hardman and Jamie Hardman; his sisters, Tammy May, Belinda Hardman, Robin Hardman and A.J. Rockwell; his sister-in-law, Debbie Lewis; as well as many nieces and nephews and his pit bull “Buddy”.
Toby was preceded in death by his grandfather, Bud Yoho; grandparents, Willis and Geraldine May; his brothers, Jason P. May; and Kevin Lewis; as well as several aunts and uncles.
Toby served our country in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #45 A.F. & A.M. in Pittsburgh and served as a board member on the Selective Service System for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
The family would like to thank Toby’s caretakers for their excellent care.
In keeping with Toby’s wishes, cremation services were provided by Perine Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at Perine Funeral Home on Thursday from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm. A celebration of Life service will be held at Perine Funeral Home on Thursday August 27 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Jeff Parsons officiating. Interment will follow at the Lumberport Lions Club Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Disabled American Veterans at dav.org
