Juanita Faye Hopkins, longtime Yale resident, passed away Wednesday evening, August 19, 2020 at the age of 94 years.
She was born on January 31, 1926 in Cushing, Oklahoma and was raised and educated here. She was united in marriage to Floyd Hopkins on July 11, 1950 and to this union one son, David was born. Floyd preceded her in death on February 18, 2011.
Juanita was a longtime active member of the Yale United Methodist Church. She loved her church and the church family. She also enjoyed crafts and visiting with her friends.
She is survived by her "adopted daughters", Lorie Shaklee of Jennings and Carol Craig of Yale; one sister-in-law Flora Todd and her husband Norman of Yale, and other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son David Hopkins.
Funeral services will be held Monday, August 24, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in the Yale United Methodist Church with Reverend Richard Ayres officiating.
Burial will follow in the Harrell Cemetery in Cushing,.
