Louis Victor Ryan, Jr., 84, died Thursday, August 02, 2007 at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center in Lafayette.
Mr. Ryan was born December 5, 1922. He was a native of Alexandria and a long-time resident of Lafayette.

Louis served during WWII in the U.S. Army and was a Mason with the Masonic Bodies of Lafayette F & AM. He worked for over 37 years for Davidson Louisiana as a Branch Manager in sales and was a long-standing member of the First Baptist Church of Lafayette. Married to his loving wife Kathryn Monroe Ryan for over 61 years, he was also an avid outdoorsman, loved golf and enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by his beloved wife Kathryn Monroe Ryan, of Lafayette; son Mark Ryan and his wife Debbey, of Lafayette; sister Betty Willson of Converse, La.; grandchildren Michael Ryan and Aerielle Benoit of Lafayette and Stacey Ryan of Anchorage, Alaska, and one great-grandson, Ender Reese Ryan, of Lafayette.

Louis was preceded in death by his father Louis Victor Ryan, Sr., of Alexandria; his mother Jessie Rembert Ryan of Pineville; one brother John D. Ryan, of Morgan City, and one sister Judy Legett, of Boyce, La.
