Robert “Bob” Waters, husband and life long companion of Mary Hutchinson Waters, passed from this life on August 20, 2020 at his home in Whitley City, Kentucky.

He was born January 24, 1935 the son of the late Mark L. and Dora Helen Richmond Waters. He loved fishing, hunting, camping, and 4-wheeling, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family. Bob was well loved and a father figure to the many who called him Pappy. He was a mechanic and logger, he also had worked in the coal mines of Oregon.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother; Rudy Waters.

Survivors include the love of his life, Mary, he is also survived by his daughter; Cheryl and husband Larry Dunkin, step-daughter; Areatha and husband David Weaver., step-sons; Johnny and Gregory Hutchinson, all of Whitley City, brothers; Ronnie Waters, Whitley City, Ken and wife Diane Waters, Whitley City, Charles “Chuck” and wife June Waters, Somerset, George “Tweety” and wife Geneva Waters, Whitley City, sisters; Markie Waters Nevels, Cincinnati, OH., Jean Waters Ross, Whitley City, Becky Waters Gregory and husband David, Burlington, KY., grandchildren; Teiara Sizemore, Brianna Weaver, Dannille Shepherd, Maxi Cortez, Shawn Young and Kody Young, 11 great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces and nephews who loved him dearly and will miss him.

Visitation for Bob Waters is Monday at 11:00 pm until time for funeral services at 1:00 PM with Darrell Waters officiating in the chapel of the McCreary County Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Laurel Cemetery.
