Tony C. Jones Sr., 65, of Arnold Rd., Coventry, passed at home unexpectedly on Thursday, August 20, 2020. He was predeceased by his wife of 46 years Kathy Ann (Schopac) Jones in April 2020.
Born in Lumberton, North Carolina, he was a son of Carrie Lee Graham.
Tony served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. After honorable service, Tony was employed for over 45 years at the General Dynamics Electric Boat in North Kingstown where he worked as a fabricator, supervisor, and more recently in analytics. Tony was a proud graduate of the New England Institute of Technology earning a degree in Electromechanical drafting technology. He was an outdoorsman enjoying nature and also fishing.
He was the father of Tony C. Jones Jr. and his partner Christina of Narragansett, and Crystal L. Jones of Coventry. He was the grandfather of Mackenzie, Chance, Faith and Harmony. Tony was the brother of Curtis A. Graham and Doris Ann Hastings.
A private committal service with military honors will be held at the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter.
