William C. Mays, age 76, of Marinette, Wis., passed away Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2020, at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay, WI. He was born Dec. 18, 1943, to Oliver and Mary (Marlatt) Mays.
William spent his early life in the Peshtigo, WI area and later served in the Merchant Marines. He worked as a welder for many years and retired from Marinette Marine Corp.
William is survived by his wife of 45 years, Nancy (nee, Brendemihl);
two daughters: Michelle (Dan) Mullin of Troy, IL and Karen (Chad) Cosby of Peshtigo, WI;
and three grandchildren: Kyle, Kassidy and David;
a brother, Oliver “Bud” (Judy) Mays;
and two sisters: Roberta (Al) Bischel and Wanda Beattie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two sisters.
In keeping with his wishes, no formal service will be held.
