Laura Bell McKenzie, 67, was born on July 11, 1953, in Manning, a daughter of the late Robert and Eva Miller McKenzie. She departed her earthly journey on Saturday, Aug. 15, 2020.

She was educated in the public schools of Williamsburg County.

She leaves to cherish memories: two sons, Christopher McKenzie (Bertie) and Johnny McKenzie; three daughters, Ethelena McKenzie (John), Cynthia Jackson (Tarvorus) and Dorothy McKenzie, all of Sumter; two brothers, Johnnie McKenzie (Francine) of New Zion and Glen McKenzie (Jennifer); three sisters, Dorothy Woods, Minister-elect Jerrleen Washington (Deacon-elect Herman) and Ruth Ann Hanna of Turbeville; two stepsisters, Eliza Durant and Cathy Epps-Samuel (Joseph) of Sumter; three grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Essie Mae McKenzie; and stepmother, Kathleen Moore.

Graveside service: Bradford Cemetery with Elder Harry Gerrald officiating.

Face masks are required during the viewing, service and home visitations at 3115 Homestead Road, Sumter.
