David Madison Street, 70, passed away on August 19, 2020. Burial will be at Coffeyville Cemetery.

David was born on December 15, 1949, in Los Angeles County, California, to Joseph and Doris Street. The family moved from Downy, California, to Magnolia, Ark., when David was entering high school, and he spent the rest of his life in the Natural State.

He had a big heart that, along with his canine friends, held adoration for family, particularly his grandchildren and great-grandchild (who called him "Papaw"). He also cared deeply for a host of friends, many since high school, and others from his 14 years with the power plant in Newark, the First Church of the Nazarene in Batesville, the Church of Christ in Olyphant, and his breakfast buddies at the diners atop the hill in Southside.

Just as his father bore the tolls of battle from World War II, David's service in the Vietnam War left lasting impacts on him the remainder of his years, both by engraving a strong sense of patriotism for our Red, White, and Blue, but also with physical challenges that led to multiple bouts of cancer and, ultimately, his final battle with the disease.

Despite these and other challenges, he was an amazing father, teaching Aaron a love of many sports (even after working a graveyard shift), Lori a love of many cars, and both the value of a tidy, carpet-raked home. David was full of "funny" "Dad jokes," and after what he thought was a zinger, he would say, "I've still got it!" David's family and friends will always keep his love and laughter in their hearts.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Joe and Doris Street; and sister, Paula Heckmann.

He is survived by his daughter, Lori Robinson and her husband, Shaun, of Bradford; his son, Aaron Street and his wife, Viktoriya, of Hot Springs; grandchildren: Hunter (Hunter) Finney, Lera Street, Sydney Stubbs, Rynne Robinson, Bradley Street, Cooper Robinson, and Jordan Street; great-granddaughter, Charlie Finney; and sidekick, Boo.
