Wanda Lou Webb Cook, 82, of Batesville, passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2020. Burial will be at Maple Springs Cemetery.

Wanda was born on January 15, 1938, in Oil Trough, Arkansas, to the late Rual C. and Stella (Foster) Webb. She graduated from Oil Trough High School in 1955 and Batesville School of Beauty in 1956. She worked several years at White Rogers; was owner and operator of Cook's Beauty Salon; co-owner of Cook's Grocery in Rosie; and retired from Wal-Mart with 10 years of service.

Wanda loved her family very much as well as taking great care of them all. She took great pride and joy in taking care of her grandson Jonathan when he was a small boy. She loved tending to her yard and raising roses. She was a wonderful cook and made the best ham and baked beans. Wanda was a member of the Rosie Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Bobby Webb.

Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Louis Conway Cook; daughter, Pamela Hix and her husband, Charley Jr., of Batesville; grandson, Jonathan Hix and his wife, Brittinie, of Batesville; great-grandchildren, Payton and Greyson; brothers-in-law, Jackie Cook and his wife, Ruth, of Rosie, and Gene Cook and his wife, Sheila, of Batesville; sister-in-law, Dorothy Taylor; niece, Tracey Owens, of Newark; and great-niece, Addison Owens, of Newark; other relatives and many friends.
