Tommy was born in Orange, Texas Nov. 26, 1946. He served as a Marine in the Vietnam war as a helicopter door gunner at the tender age of 19 years old. His life following this time was blessed my many family, friends and loved ones. He married his soul mate and wife of 40 plus years Mary Lou Anderson and began a journey as father, step-father, grandfather and loving husband.
Over the following decades to come he was passionate about life and enjoyed many personal interests such as coaching youth football and baseball, amateur ham radio, treasure hunting, watch collecting, computer technology and professional football. He served his employer, his country and most importantly his family up to his final days on earth. Those who knew him closely will attest that he had a heart of gold and was a selfless, generous man. He was and will continue to be loved by many. His final 10 years on earth were spent in bereavement of the untimely death of his wife and his passing should also be a time of grief and sorry, but also a time of rejoice as their reunion in Heaven has finally come as part of his passing.
He was preceded in death by his wife, age 64 on Oct. 6, 2010.
Survivors: Son, Tommy Wayne Anderson; daughter, Sherry Favors; grandchildren, Emma Anderson, Roshawna Winn, Mysti Eason and James Favors; great-grandchildren, Kourtland Robinson, Traci Bradford, Kyron Robinson, Ansyn Favors, Zoey Eason and Emmie Eason.
