He enjoyed working on and repairing cars, riding his motorcycle and was an avid gunsmith who enjoyed shooting and working on guns. He spent 16 years as a corrections officer at CCI in Chillicothe, Ohio. He was a member of the Chillicothe Moose Lodge 1626, past volunteer for the Red Cross in Ross County and also was the Disaster Chairman for Ross County.
He is survived by his wife, Dianna Kaye Horsley Terry, children: Dreama (Kevin) Rooney and Gerald Douglas Terry, sister: Geraldine (John) Hughes, grandchildren: Kayelyn, Britton and Kirstanee Rooney, brother and sister-in-laws: Michael (Lois) Horsley and Dennise (Jeff) McAfee.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Douglas Robert Terry.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home and Southern Ohio Cremation Services in Jackson.
