Born in Greenville, she was the daughter of the late John and Eunice Harris Corea.
Mrs. Bailey was a member and Bible Teacher at Pendleton Street Baptist Church for over 60 years. She also served as a deacon, choir member and was a member of the WMU. Mrs. Bailey was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the United Transportation Union.
Surviving Mrs. Bailey are one son and a daughter-in-law, John S. and Ann Bailey of Taylors; one daughter and son-in-law, Bettie and Richard Spencer of Charleston; daughter-in-law, Carole K. Bailey of Greenville, three grandchildren, Amy C Bailey of Greenville, J. Silas Bailey, Jr. of Greenville and J. Daniel Spencer of Charleston.
She was preceded in death by a son, Bill B. Bailey, Jr.; and a daughter and son-in-law, Eunice and B.C. Pressly, Jr.
Services will be held Monday, May 22, 2006, at 3 p.m. at The Mackey Mortuary, Century Drive. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. today, May 21, 2006 at the Mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Building Fund of Pendleton Street Baptist Church, 422 Pendleton Street, Greenville, SC 29601.
