Emily Doris Brooks, 99 passed away peacefully at her home in Winter Haven Fl. Doris was born August 26 1920, to Edgar Pete and Kate Octavia Hinson, she was a life long resident in Polk County and a member of the First Baptist Church of Bartow. Doris retired from the Polk County Tag Office in Haines City.

Doris was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Wayne, son Daryl Wayne, his wife Leah.

She is survived by her beloved Chihuahua Miss Katy, her son Richard Kent, his wife Phyllis of Dundee, Grand-daughters: Doris (DeeDee) and her husband Michael Hay, of Salina Kansas, Emily and her husband Joey Endres, of Winter Haven FL, Ashley Brooks, of Winter Haven FL, Chantel Brooks of Atlanta GA and Michael Brooks of Greenville S.C. and one Great-Granddaughter KyLeigh Ryan, of Winter Haven FL.

Visitation will be from 2 til 3pm Wednesday August 19, 2020 at Lakeland Memorial Gardens followed by a graveside service at 3pm.
