Joseph Roy Watkins, 60 of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma was born on November 8, 1959 in Clinton, Oklahoma. He is the son of Robert Dean Phillips and Marie Vivian Evans. Joseph went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, August 14, 2020 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Joseph married his best friend and sweetheart, Tania Shawn Williams on October 5, of 2019.
Joseph proudly served his country in the United States Army.

He enjoyed listening to music, fishing, goofing around, and watching his nephews play baseball & niece play softball. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 22, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at the Martin-Dugger Funeral Home Chapel, Elk City, Oklahoma. Elder Charles Smith and Elder Tim Bagby will officiate. Interment will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, Elk City, Oklahoma. Services have been entrusted to the care of Richard and Tammy Dugger and the staff of Martin-Dugger Funeral Home in Elk City, Oklahoma.

Cherishing his memory is his wife, Tania Watkins of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; son, William Watkins of Arkansas; brothers, Ricky Evans of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Marvin Watkins of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Terrill Darnell of Moore, Oklahoma; sisters, Ophelia Carter of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Sandra Phillips of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; two grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Phillips and Marie Evans; two brothers, Jeffery Phillips and Freddie Darnell; and two sisters, Freda Mae Darnell and Linda Watkins.

Memorials can be made to a charity of choice in care of Martin-Dugger Funeral Home, P.O. Box 707, Elk City, Oklahoma 73648.
