Former Carleton Place Councillor and Reeve In hospital at Ottawa, Ontario on Thursday, March 14, 2002. Bruce Sadler at the age of 76 years. Beloved husband of the late Evelyn Turner. Loving and devoted father of Robert Sadler and Lorraine Nephin (Keith). Much loved grandfather of Greg (Chantal) and John (Sarah). Dear brother of Ray (Jean) of Saskatoon. Survived by his sisters-in-law Shirley Sadler, Mary Poole, Mary Turner and Ruth Steele. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by his granddaughter Patricia and his brother Carl. Bruce had a great love for people and of nature. With his gift as a conversationalist, he was always more than willing to exchange stories or discuss current events. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Friends may call at the ALAN R. BARKER FUNERAL HOME 19 McArthur Avenue, Carleton Place on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service to be held in the chapel on Monday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Blair Corcoran officiating. Spring interment Auld Kirk Cemetery, Almonte.
