Robert L Talley September 9, 1963 - August 19, 2020
Robert "Kermit" L Talley, 56, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 12:56 am August 19, 2020 at Saint Louis University Hospital in Saint Louis, Missouri. He was born September 9, 1963 in Heidelberg, Germany to Herbert and Karen (Isaac) Talley. In addition to his parents, Kermit is survived by his brother, Wayne Talley and wife, Tammy of Mount Vernon, Illinois; sisters, Jennifer Badgett and significant other, Jim Haakonson of Texas, Tabetha Long of Shiloh, Illinois; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. Kermit was preceded in death by his grandparents. Kermit loved to play music, playing washers, and was an avid fisherman. He enjoyed Nascar and was a big Jeff Gordan fan. Kermit was a loving and sharing man that would give the shirt off his back to anyone. He was a member of the Mount Vernon Gun and Sportman's Club, American Legion Auxiliary, and was of the Christian faith. Kermit loved his family and will be dearly missed. A Graveside service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made in Kermit's honor to the Talley family in care of Karen Talley. Please remember to observe social distancing at this time. We are limited to 50 people in our building at a time. Following the CDC and NFDA regulations, we encourage everyone to wear a mask in our facility. They will be made available, upon request.
