Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Jo Dean Watson on June 22, 2010. He is survived by his daughter, Lauren Rae Watson.
Jim was a man of many traits and many friends. He was master gun smith and a master woodworker. He was featured two times in Better Homes and Gardens' Wood Magazine. Jim also served as an exhibitor and President of the War Eagle Arts and Crafts Fair. His and Sue Jo's bird decoys have been sold worldwide for over 30 years. He also showcased decoys at Silver Dollar City in Branson, Missouri.
No visitation will be held. Jim will lie in state Thursday, August 20, 2020 from 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 21, 2020, at Huntsville Cemetery with Travis Dotson officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Jim's name may be made to Paws and Claws Pet Shelter, 2075 Madison 6555, Huntsville, AR 72740. Services are entrusted to Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory of Huntsville.
