Patricia was born April 25, 1931 in Effingham, the daughter of Joseph and Josephine (Braun) Waldhoff. She married John A. Schumacher on August 23, 1952 and he preceded her in death on January 29, 2015. Patricia was a life long and active member of St. Michael Catholic Church and the Ladies Sodality in Sigel. She was also involved with the Perpetual Adoration at H.S.H.S. St. Anthony Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

Pat was committed to her family, faith, and farming. She was very devoted to her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She beamed with pride and joy as she watched "her kids" perform at school and sporting events.

As a dairy farmer's wife, Pat understood that both hardship and happiness were a part of making a worthwhile living. She inspired her family to work hard and to make the most of each and every day.
She always did what needed to be done so others could achieve more.

Pat also enjoyed making others smile. Her small acts of kindness warmed numerous hearts. Everyone knew she baked the best banana nut bread and sent the most heartfelt surprises inside greeting cards.

Patricia is survived by her twelve children, Dennis Schumacher, Gary (Julia) Schumacher, Elaine Hartmann, Rick (Jean) Schumacher, Linda (Randy) Kemme, Barb (Steve) Rieman, Kevin (Sharon) Schumacher, Glen (Sheryl) Schumacher, Tim (Sherri) Schumacher, Dan (Peg) Schumacher, Lisa Schumacher and Todd (Lisa) Schumacher; brothers, Leonard (Vicki) Waldhoff, Richard Waldhoff, Joseph “Jr.” Waldhoff and Dale (Carole) Waldhoff; sister, Lucille Reardon and brother-in-law, Kenny (Ruby) Seiler; sister-in-laws, Martha Niemerg, Theresa Walk, Evelyn, Dorothy, and Helen Schumacher; 33 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews also survive.
