Patrick held multiple degrees from Boston College, Johns Hopkins School of Advance International Studies (where he was the first Wolfowitz Fellow), and The Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. An avid reader and quite the historian, Patrick had an affinity for storytelling and a particular passion for the Northern Ireland conflict. His enthusiasm for sharing his extensive knowledge of world history and excerpts from the latest book he was reading is noteworthy. Patrick was an ardent adventurer, mountain climber, sky diver, world traveler to 32 countries, and a good friend and thoughtful advisor to many.
Patrick is survived by his beloved daughter Lyla, age 11, his loving father Michael Moran, his sister, Katie Moran, and his stepfather Barney Eldridge. He was predeceased by his mother, Bobbe Lou Eldridge, and his sister, Nancy Moran, with whom he was particularly close. He was the stepson of the late Marguerite Moran. Numerous relatives and friends mourn his passing, including Lois and Bruce Linderman and Leif and Julie Linderman.
Patrick will be interred in Cleveland with his beloved sister, Nancy. A celebration of his life will occur in the near future when gatherings of friends and family are appropriate.
