Cynthia Snow Cynthia "Cindy" Dianne Fletcher Snow, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, wife, and friend, lost her battle with advanced breast cancer at the age of 53 and went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 15, 2007. Born October 1, 1953, in Wichita Falls to William and Billie Jo Fletcher. She is survived by her husband, Ron Snow, her three daughters Rebekah Fountain, Lauren Snow, and Adrienne Snow, and her new grand-daughter Lillith Anne Fountain. Cindy was a vivacious, charismatic woman with a life-long passion for traveling, which made her the perfect passport clerk for the U.S. Postal Service. When diagnosed with cancer, for the third and final time, she decided to live her life as fully as possible, taking Dean Karnazes literally when he quoted "Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention to arrive safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming: 'Wow!! What a ride!' " She will be remembered for her encouraging nature, for her unique sense of humor, and especially for her gift of genuine love that she gave freely to everyone she met. She touched so many lives, gave hope to those who felt like giving up, and taught us the meaning of living life to the fullest. She will be missed dearly- the world has lost an amazing woman. She is survived by her parents, William and Billy Joe Fletcher of Wichita Falls, her older brother William Fletcher of St. George, Utah, her sister Sherry Jenkins of Tulsa, Oklahoma, her brother James Fletcher of Wichita Falls, her son-in-law Matthew Fountain, her nephews Billy and Cody, and niece Emily, countless friends, and many loyal coworkers. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, April 18, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Baptist Church, 3838 Steck Ave., Austin, TX 78759, officiated by Bro. Tom Goodman and Gene Chappell, followed by a graveside service at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery. The following gentlemen will serve as active pallbearers in Cindy's honor: David Littlestar, David Snow, Troy Snow, John Jenkins, Randy Skapple, and Johnny Castro. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations sent to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Fund in honor of Cindy's life. Our special thanks goes out to the staff of Texas Oncology Center, the Christopher House for their kind treatment in Cindy's final hours, and to all of her coworkers, countless friends, and family whose many prayers sustained her throughout her courageous battle.. http://www.mem.com
