Dennis James Harris, 71, of Marinette, Wis., passed away on Friday, Aug. 14, 2020, at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay, Wis. He was born in Laona, Wis., on Sept. 21, 1948, to Herb and Lucille (McDaniel) Harris.

Dennis grew up in Carter, Wis., and graduated from Wabeno High School. Following graduation, he joined the United States Coast Guard and served for three years in the waters off Alaska.
Following jobs at Schneider National and Ansul, Dennis landed at Specialty Chemical where he retired after 22 years.
Dennis had a passion for helping others and was constantly volunteering to help those in need. He enjoyed the outdoors and was frequently hunting and fishing with friends. He was a proud member of the American Legion, an Army football fan, and an overall patriot.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Donna;
siblings: Allan Harris of Green Bay, WI; Sunshine Huettl of (Wabeno, WI; Scott Harris, Linda Larson of Wabeno, WI;
his five children: Brian Harris of Haymarket, VA; Becky Brill of Menominee, MI; Marcy Sowers of Wasilla, Alaska; Tom Harris and Gary Harris of Wasilla, Alaska)
He is also survived by 16 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings: Duane Harris and Jerry Harris.
