Sharon Lu Summers Duke, 64, passed away August 1, 2004 at her home in
West Jordan after fighting Leukemia for the past six months.
Born Sept. 18, 1939 in Ogden, Utah to Maurice and Lula Miller Summers. Married Raymond L. Duke in Ogden on June 6, 1958.
Sharon and Ray recently returned to Utah after spending many years in the Stockton, California area. She was an active member of the LDS Church, serving as Primary president and Relief Society chorister as well as in many other callings. In Stockton, she was employed by Spring Anesthesia for 20 years as a billing clerk.
Sharon is survived by her husband Ray; children, Julie Furtado, Jim Duke, Kenneth (Sherie) Duke, Steven (Audrey) Duke, Peggy (Jamie) Kemp; sister and brother, JoAnn Johnson and Gerald Summers; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents.
Friends may call at Goff Mortuary, 8090 South State, Wednesday August 4, from 6-8 p.m. Additional services will be held in California, with burial at the Cherokee Memorial Cemetery in Lodi, California.
