Harold "Keith" Simmons, Jr. passed away on August 18, 2020 peacefully at his home in Martins Mill, Texas. He was born on October 14, 1954 in Dallas Texas to Harold Keith Simmons, Sr. and Valette Reid Simmons.
Harold (known to many in his family as "Keith") lived in the Martins Mill area for many years. On March 14, 1992 he married Carolyn Danks. Together they built a beautiful life with their son Jason. Harold was an avid hunter and fisherman. In the past he was the proud owner of Cream Level Creek Kennel where he successfully bred Labrador retrievers and trained hunting dogs. He retired from Garland IDS (Independent School District) after 25 years of service where he held a wide range of positions. He loved his family and will be greatly missed.
Harold is survived by his wife, Carolyn Danks Simmons son, Jason Danks and fiance, Shannon Stevens; brother, Bruce Simmons and wife, Sena, niece, Misty and nephew, Shawn; and two great-nieces.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold, Sr. and Valette Simmons.
A visitation will be held Friday, August 21, 2020 at Eubank Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at 2 P.M. in the Eubank Funeral Home chapel with Bro, Don Ivey officiating. Following the service, interment will be at Holly Springs Cemetery, Martins Mill, Texas.
