He had lived on the Peninsula most of his life prior to moving to Greenville, S.C., two years ago, where he went home to be with his Lord on Sept. 6, 2009. He served honorably in the U.S. Navy and worked 39 years until his retirement at Newport News Shipbuilding. He was a founding member of Trinity Tabernacle and Trinity Child Care. He was a member of Warwick Assembly of God in Hampton, Va.
He is survived by his loving wife, Hazel Nobles; two daughters, Deborah Rogers of Greenville, S.C., and Donna Chattin and her husband, Michael of Raleigh, N.C.; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Friends are invited to visit Thursday, Sept. 10, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. A celebration of Kenneth's life will be held at Warwick Assembly of God Church, 1228 Todds Lane in Hampton, 23666 on Friday, Sept. 11 at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park.
