Services for Mr. G. L. Dearman, age 79, of Leakesville, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church of Leakesville with Bro. Michael Perry, Bro. Jimmy Holcomb, and Bro. Adam Wyatt officiating. Burial will follow in the Dearman Family Cemetery.
G. L. served over 24 years as District one supervisor for Greene County where he never hesitated to help anyone who needed it. He owned and operated Dearman Ford in Leakesville for many years and was a faithful, dedicated member of the First Baptist Church of Leakesville. He enjoyed being outdoors, on the farm, in the garden, and spending time with all the kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids. His loving, giving spirit made him a friend to everyone and a dedicated servant to his Lord, his family, and his community.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Mellie Dearman, and his brothers and sisters, O'Donald, George, Buster, Terry, Macy, Doris, and Barbara.
He leaves behind his beloved children; Rhena (Michael) Brewer, Mitchell Dearman, and Ginger (J.R.) Snyder, all of Leakesville; his grandchildren, Jona (Corey) Stevens, Chase (Jade) Brewer, Mallory (Dillon) McInnis, Reo Dearman, Mellie (Luke) Hicks, Kaitlyn Snyder, and Bradley Snyder; his great-grandchildren, Reese Jordan, Emeri Brewer, Tucker Brewer, Cooper McInnis, Chapman McInnis, and Brantley Stevens; his brothers, Jarvis (Mary) Dearman and Doug Dearman, and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family and Easter "Pinky" Dearman.
