Thomas was a graduate of New Hope High School in Columbus MS. He was a World War II Army veteran, serving in Germany. On his return to the US he began working in Columbus, MS for Dr. Pepper Bottling and then transferred to the Tuscaloosa plant. He opened his own television repair business where he worked until he retired in 1991. He was a Toastmaster for many years and loved Alabama football and St Louis Cardinals baseball.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Eunice Green Logan, his youngest son Whitney Logan, sisters Mildred Logan, Lois Gelona and Catherine Cash, brother A.B. Logan Jr, and son-in-law Tom Harwood.
Thomas is survived by his wife of 37 years Elnora Hill Logan, daughter Janet Harwood of Pelham, son Jerry Logan of Tuscaloosa, grandchildren Josie Harwood of Mobile and Logan Harwood of Pelham, sister June James of Columbus MS, brother Paul Logan of Hamilton, stepdaughters Sherri Therrien (Frank) of Tuscaloosa and Susan Watson (Whitten) and her son Sullivan Watson of Indianapolis IN, and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
