JOHN LESLIE HARTLEY
John Leslie Hartley, 83, of Mt. Morris, R. D. 1, died at 12:15 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 26, 1969, in the home of his son, Edward Hartley. Although not in the best of health he had been seriously ill for the past few days.

He was born December 20, 1885, in Perry Township near Mt. Morris, a son of Elijah and Sarah Headley Hartley. His wife, Rebecca Lemley Hartley, whom he married August 18, 1937, survives.

Mr. Hartley had lived all his life in the Mt. Morris area and was a member of the Shannon Run United Methodist Church. He was a retired farmer and stock raiser.

He was the last of his family.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Rebecca Hartley, are one daughter, Mary, wife of Ralph Walters, of Mt. Morris, R. D. 1; on son, Edward Allen Hartley, of Mt. Morris, R. D. 1; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Three sisters and five brothers are deceased.

Funeral services were held Wednesday with burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
