PAULA E. PATTERSON, 77 of New Cumberland, WV passed away Sunday August 16, 2020 at UPMC Shadyside, Pittsburgh, PA. She was born August 4, 1943 in Tarentum, PA, the daughter of the late Reverend William and Virginia Llewellyn Jones. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Edward Patterson (2009); son, Christopher Shawn Patterson (1990); brothers, Paul Jones, Rev. David Jones.
Paula was affiliated with the Hookstown Free Methodist Church; 1960 graduate of Butler (PA) high school. She received pleasure in her quilting and crocheting. Mostly, she loved Jesus and her family. She retired from home health care as a licensed nursing assistant (CNA).
Surviving are her sons, R.Eric Patterson (Amy) of New Manchester, WV, Timothy S. Patterson (Joi Cadile), Richard A. Patterson (Peggy) of Chester, WV; grandchildren, Erica Lee Drewior (Don), Ashley Elaine Gurganus (Eddie), Joshua Shawn Patterson (Chantel); step granddaughter, Hannah Triffonoff; five great grandchildren; sister, Rev. Deborah Jones, Oilton, OK; brothers, Rev. Daniel Jones (Beverly) of Indianapolis, IN, Mark Jones (Melanie) of Valparaiso, IN; sister-in-law, Rhonda Jones of Indianapolis, IN.
Visitation will be 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday August 19, 2020 at STEEL & WOLFE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 380 Penco Road, Weirton, WV. A graveside service followed by burial will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Mill Creek Hill Cemetery, Hookstown, PA with Rev. Daniel Jones and Rev. William Olszewski presiding.
