Harold J. Hilton, 76, of 2412 Valley High Drive in Cedar Falls, died Saturday, March 14, at Covenant Medical Center of cancer. He was born March 1, 1916, in Fort Dodge, the son of Edward and Amelia Rodlend Hilton; he married Mildred L. Baker on Sept 21, 1941, in Kirksville, Mo.
Prior to his retirement in 1977, he was an engineer for Schoitz Hospital.
He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Jackie Grieger of Waterloo; two grandchildren; two sisters, Ila Will and Violet Markman, both of Fort Dodge; he was preceded in death by a son, Lance Cpl. Daniel J. Hilton on Sept 16, 1968.
Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Richardson Funeral Home in Cedar Falls, with burial in Garden of Memories in Waterloo; friends may call at the funeral home from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. to services Tuesday.
