Ronald Decker was born with his twin on May 22, 1964 in Dickinson, the son of Titius "Ted" and Marion (Stockert) Decker. He was raised on the family farm and educated in Belfield, graduating from Belfield High School in 1983.
He was a lifetime resident of the Belfield area. He took a shot at working the oil rigs, but returned to farming as soon as possible and has spent over 40 years working the farm incorporating modern farming practices. Ron had an exceptional talent in fabricating, fixing and troubleshooting everything electrical, mechanical and technical. He built a lot of his own parts. He could engineer and build about anything.
He belonged to the Knights of Columbus having been named Knight of Year 2012. Ron was very instrumental in the Western Soil Conservation District having served as Chairperson. He enjoyed socializing, farming, snow sledding, fishing, shooting and hunting, and most everything outdoors.
Ronald - son, brother, uncle, friend, our neighbor, our helper, our supporter, our leader, and our cornerstone will be missed dearly!
Ronald is survived by his mother, Marion; siblings, Edward (Patty) Decker, Dickinson, Roger (Rosie) Decker, Belfield, Carmelita Dukart, Belfield, and Donald Decker, Belfield; numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his dad, Titius.
