A native of Norfolk, he resided in Tidewater all his life. He was a son of Garland T. Crump Sr. and Mrs. Katherine Donovan Crump.
He was a veteran of the Korean War, a member of Star of the Sea Catholic Church, and a member of Plasterer's Local 126.
Besides his wife and parents, surviving are one son, Garland T. Crump III of Virginia Beach; four brothers, William Crump, James Crump, Robert Crump and Thomas Crump of Norfolk; six sisters, Mrs. Mary Crowling, Mrs. Johanna Simpson and Mrs. Anne Taylor of Norfolk, Mrs. Theresa Humphreys of Virginia Beach and Mrs. Alice Degenhardt and Miss Ada Crump of Norfolk.
The body was taken to H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments.

NORFOLK - The body of Garland T. Crump J., who died Friday, will be taken from H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to St. Mary's Catholic Church for a funeral service Monday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. A rosary service is scheduled at the funeral apartments today at 7:30 p.m.
